The 5th European Ecotourism Conference was held in Tbilisi on September 10-14, 2018, organized by the Georgian Ecotourism Association.

via conference  of parties interested in ecotourism  – Researchers, representatives of the academic field, practitioners from Europe and beyond were given the opportunity to  to present the results of their research, visions for the development of ecotourism products and share their experiences.

The three-day conference included sessions and discussions  Ecotourism as the best way to overcome poverty,   On ecotourism and tourism manager education, transboundary pathways and cooperation, protected areas, climate change and European ecotourism.

The main partner of the conference was Ilia State University, supporters: National Tourism Administration of Georgia, Agency of Protected Areas, Tbilisi City Hall, GEN, GIZ, WWF, TJS, KFW
